East Texas Hunters,
Well my fellow Etx hunters it has been an interesting beginning to deer season to say the least. Great hunts, slow hunts and some that are for the books. Some hunts produce multiple sightings were others make you wonder. We started out with a wet Spring and then steered into somewhat of a drought, but the acorns still made it. Matter of fact, last Sat. evening I had two acorns bounce of my hat. I was able to make a great shot on a big doe and watched her fall insight. That's what its all about, fresh backstrap is on the menu this week!! I will say the top priority for are ranch is the hogs. I think they tripled over the last year and we just can't keep up with them anymore. Good luck this season to all hunters and keep the reports coming.
